- In 2008 over 250,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with some form of breast cancer.
- Of those women diagnosed 80% will have NO family history of breast cancer.
- 81% of women with breast cancer will survive and live at least another 10 years.
- A mammogram can detect only about half of all breast cancers in women who have dense breast tissue, insist on an ultrasound along with your mammogram.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most people know at least one woman who has had or has breast cancer. If breast cancer has not touched your life you are very fortunate.

Thanks for the info. Breast Cancer has touched my family and I mourn for those who have to endure the trial as well.
