Softball, Softball, Softball

The last month has been a softball packed month for Hannah.  Between several tournaments, practice, and two softball camps she stays super busy.  For all of you who think we are going to burn her out need to realize that Hannah is the one pushing the busy schedule.  If I am more than 1 minute late getting her where she needs to be she freaks out.  A mom on her softball team asked if she wanted to do a 2nd camp and when Hannah over heard she jumped right in and told me she would pay for it if she could go.  The girl is softball obsessed!!!  I must admit that we, as her family, think she is a pretty awesome player and love to watch her play and grow as a player.  Her main position is short-stop but she also plays catcher and from time to time 1st base, although if you ask her where she likes to play she'll tell you on the field.

During warm-ups at a tournament this month Hannah was hit in the head with a softball.  The ball hit her so hard that it left the stitch impression from the ball on her forehead.
She had a golf ball size welt.  The bump and stitch mark are above HER left eye

On June 26th and June 27th the girls (Texas Power) played in a tournament in Converse Texas.  They played like they know how and went undefeated 6-0!!!  The girls took 1st place out of 10 teams!
Here they are with their 1st place trophy!

In July the team is headed to Dallas to compete in a 4-day national tournament.  Opening ceremonies will be in Ranger Stadium and I believe they have an opportunity to play a game in Ranger Stadium!!!  Wish them luck, I hope they do as well in Dallas as they did in Converse!
