Guns, Masks, Paint, Bruises, Welts, & Turning 11

Hannah turned 11 on March 4th and she was lucky enough to have the Young's here to celebrate with her. Donald, who is only 3 months older than Hannah wanted to take Hannah paintballing for her birthday, we went the day before her birthday. None of us had been before which made it more exciting. I was super nervous to go because my idea of a good time does not involve being shot at and getting welts.

Donald & Hannah ready to play the first round.

Grace's friend Rachel, Hannah, and Donald. We were very proud of Hannah and Donald because they jumped right in the game and didn't get upset when they were shot. Donald had some pretty nasty bruises and Hannah was upset her bruises weren't bigger.

Our paintball group.
Back row: Don, Brent, Maia. Middle row: Sara, Hannah, Donald. Front row: Rachel & Grace.

When our paintball experience was all said and done we all left with some pretty nasty bruises. Grace and Donald had the worse wounds and Sara and Hannah fared the best. I would go again as long as I had on paintball clothing... padding.
On her actual birthday we celebrated at home and with her Great-Aunt & Great-Uncle, the Kreigers.
Donald and Sara surprised Hannah with a balloon bouquet and stuffed lemur when she came home from school.

Hannah's Rollerblades from Grandma Cheryl. This all she wanted for her birthday.

Great-Aunt Allyson made Hannah a Goofy cake for her birthday.

I agree, getting shot at and being bruised isn't me idea of fun either. Glad the kids had fun though!
