There are so many beautiful birds in South Texas especially along the Gulf Coast region where we now live. Having walls of windows at our home makes it especially easy to enjoy these birds. These are just a few pictures I was able to take yesterday.
| This is our little woodpecker. He is one busy bird and you can hear him pecking away in the afternoons. He also likes to swing upside down in the treetops. |
| Female cardinal. I didn't know they were so beautiful! |
| Kung Pao, one of our hens, wasn't so sure she liked the cardinal in her territory. |
| Better shot of the male cardinal. Him and the female were very social together. |
| A little Chickadee. There are a pair of these that keep going in and out of the knot in this tree. |
These are just the pictures I have managed to take. We have a "pet" vulture. We have huge
Sandhill cranes. Beautiful large
Caracara that are part of the falcon family. Then just the other day while driving down to the coast we saw a Bald Eagle!!! That was amazing!
