Today started out kind of blah. We were supposed to drive up to Temple to watch Hannah play softball and spend the night in a hotel. However the rain ruined those plans. It rained hard for most of the day but when the clouds broke this afternoon we went and worked outside as a family. Just as we were finishing our project it started to pour! The kids thought it would be fun to play tag in the rain and by the time they were wore out we were all soaked and the kids were pretty muddy. One of the kids asked if we could go down to the creek to see if there was any water to play in. We loaded up in the truck and drove over there. The ground was so wet and the ground so slippery that the next thing I know Kirstine is using the mud and the hills as a Slip 'n Slide. That was all it took!!! The kids spent the next hour playing and sliding in the mud and the rain. They were SO covered in mud that Brent and I couldn't help get all muddy too.

Larissa is our country girl. She was too dirty to go in the house to get a drink of water so she said she would drink from the roof.
This evening we heard Marnie barking at something. Brent went to investigate and he saw the armadillo that Marnie has been trying to get for a couple of weeks. The armadillo wasn't scared of us or the dog, it just went about its business.
