Texas Power

Hannah was invited on Friday to come practice with a 10U Club/Travel softball team, the Texas Power, to try-out. When I told Hannah she was SO excited because she didn't want to play on the city league again this season. Brent called the coach Friday afternoon and she asked if Hannah could come out to practice on Saturday so she could evaluate her, the coach was also trying out two other girls.

I was a bit nervous because Hannah hasn't played softball since October when the fall season ended with the city league so she is a bit out of shape. You couldn't tell she hasn't played in 3-months though. She jumped right in with the rest of the team, did fabulous defensively (her strong point), and hit some bombs when coach pitched to her. Coach even used Hannah as an example for how to slide and field balls!

After practice the coach asked Hannah and us if she would like to join the team. She said Hannah is exactly what she is looking for and would like her to play short-stop, Hannah's favorite position. We hadn't been gone 5 minutes when the coach called again singing Hannah's praises. LOL. I'm such a proud mama!!!

Hannah woke up SUPER sore on Sunday!
