I Have a Wonderful Husband!

Brent found this beautiful place last week and came home and told me all about it. He then arranged a date for him and I to go there on Saturday. I must say it was one of the best dates ever. It was quiet, peaceful, and romantic, better than the usual dinner and a movie date we take.
This place is about 30 miles north of where we live but these beautiful places are scattered all around San Antonio. It has this beautiful canyon in the middle of it with several under ground springs that dump into it so there is a little brook/small river that winds down around in there. At the very end of the canyon, about 2 miles, is a beautiful meadow with this massive oak tree that has a swing in it. We saw deer, frogs, grasshoppers, spiders, and raccoon footprints. It was SO nice. We spent about 2 hours hiking around and enjoying the beautiful day. I didn't want to leave. We are planning on taking the kids here and having a picnic.
We see these deer everywhere around North San Antonio, where we live. We have some that live behind our house and drive the dogs crazy. In my uncles neighborhood they roam wild and you can see dozens of them day or night in everyone's yards.
Giant oak tree with the swing.

Little stream.

Love the ferns.

This is a picture at the top of the canyon. We wound around in there to get to the meadow and giant oak tree.

I have more pictures posted on Facebook if you want to see them.
