My cousin Nate and his wife Trisha came to California for vacation. They set aside a few days, including Easter, to spend with the Emmons' and Boring's. It was wonderful having them come visit.
Since I was old enough my mom has hidden our Easter baskets and then wrote a poem with clues to where our basket is. As we got older the hiding places and poems got harder. Now she does it for the grand kids. Seth was the first to find his Easter basket.
Teen was next.
Then Larissa!
Here is Chef Poppy. My dad loves cooking extravagant meals for everyone and the holidays always give him an excuse. We decided to do a non-traditional Easter dinner. Poppy made (with a little help from me) grilled steak, scallops, and shrimp, potato salad, grilled artichokes, a delish condiment tray, grilled mushrooms, grilled jalapenos, a green salad, and mom made deviled eggs. I am sure I am forgetting something. We had way too much food but it means we get to use the steak and shrimp for tacos tonight! YUM!
Here is Larissa enjoying her dinner. She is eating an artichoke, she ate a little over half of one whole artichoke, not to mention shrimp and steak.
Oh yeah, Hannah finally found her Easter basket. You can tell by the look on her face that she got a little angry that it took her a while to find it. Funny thing is she was the one who insisted Grandma hide them.
Grandma and Teen enjoying the day.

What a fun Easter...and what a meal!! Sounds so yummy!!
Hiding the baskets sounds like such a fun tradition, even if some kids liked it more than others!
