Watching your child grow really is bittersweet. You enjoy watching them learn and grow and come into new stages in life but at the same time it is sad knowing that they never again will be that infant that was so tiny and dependent on you.
Larissa is really changing, while she will always be OUR baby she is definitely turning into a big girl. Larissa is a smart cookie; she can communicate anything with you, if she wants something, if she needs something, if she hurts, if she is happy or sad, etc. She has been talking since she was about 4 months old. At about 15 months old Larissa would respond to our, "I love you Rissa!" with a sing song, "Too!" It was something that melted our hearts and thankfully it has lasted almost 9 months. This past week though I have noticed that when we say I love you to her she responds with, "I love you ___" (fill in the blank) and it kind of made me sad. Well Brent noticed it yesterday and it really kind of bothered him so he spent the rest of the day teaching her to say "Too" after he said I love you to her. The whole thing made me smile because it seems like it is usually just me who mourns when our children leave one stage and enter a new one but this time I saw Brent do it... just a little.
