Grandma Susan and Grandpa Steve came to visit us for the week. We figured that would be the perfect opportunity for the kids and myself to learn how to shoot guns, after all we do live in Texas.
My brother-in-law, Spencer, knows some very nice people who have a bunch of land that were kind enough to let all of us come and shoot on their property.
I was a nervous wreck to shoot a gun and was having anxiety beforehand. Hannah was super excited, so was Seth & Larissa. Kirstine was more than willing to try but a little apprehensive.
Seth was the first one to shoot. He was given a lesson from Grandpa and then off they went. Then came Larissa who is afraid of nothing, then Hannah, and then Kirstine. I was the last of the group to shoot, I was nervous... okay, scared to death... but overcame my fear and learned that it isn't so bad. It was neat watching Grandpa teach his Grandkids how to shoot guns that have been passed down in the family.
Poppy was also their and he brought his old gun. Hannah really took a liking to it and Poppy taught her how to load and unload the gun so she could do it on her own. She ended up going through most of a package of bullets. It was funny to watch Hannah take a real liking to shooting, Seth did as well but that didn't surprise me.
Below are some of the pictures from our day.
