On Saturday the mitigation guy called me and told us that we did have asbestos in the popcorn ceiling. I tried seeing a silver lining in the whole thing and figured that we would at least get our ceilings scrapped in two rooms.
On Monday our insurance adjuster and the mitigation guy both came over to the house at the same time. All three rooms were dry, thanks to the HUGE dehumidfier and so as of now we will not have to cut holes in the ceiling to replace the drywall which means we don't have to remove the asbestos. The adjuster also took a quick look at the roof and said he didn't see any reason for the leaks other than 5" of ice sat on it for 24 hours. We are going to have a roofing company come out and double check the roof but so far everything looks good.
The adjuster gave us a check to have the ceilings repainted where it leaked.
